This is my grandmother, Vitalina Bertolacci, which I drew from a photograph. The photo was taken just before she sadly passed at the age of 66.

I've never had the opportunity of meeting her but have heard much about this nurturing yet hard woman whom basically reared nine children on her own through very difficult and impoverished times.
